Spent a good amount of the weekend discussing firearms with and it inspired me to make another weapon. This is a SIG Sauer P250 with tactical flashlight based on my personal reference: [link] I loathe the gun's trigger pull and have been toying around with the idea of selling it so I thought I'd complete a model before it's gone.
Project served as an opportunity to sculpt micro details in nDo2 and 95% of the texture was done in Quixel's new dDo Beta. And a special thanks to for help with material definition.
***EDIT: A lot of people have been asking about softwares. It was modeled in Maya, textured in Photoshop and rendered in Marmoset Toolbag. If anybody has any questions regarding workflow, PM me!

Great detail in an outstanding realistic game ready gun. Check out the rest of the artist's gallery for some more amazing work!SIG Sauer P250 [renders] by ~BringMeASunkist (

And about that hammer you mentioned, there is a hammer but it's not visible from this angle. The SIG P250 is a "double-action only" pistol, meaning the hammer cannot be cocked. As a result, the hammer recedes into the back of the slide. Here's a picture from my personal reference: [link]
And I appreciate nit-picking! We, as artists and human beings, do not improve without criticism
